Season Opener

Dear Friends of the Park,
The winter continues to hold its bite on our planned activities. The scheduled First Cast, sponsored by the Roscoe Chamber of Commerce, has been postponed until April 11th. It will start around 7:30 am on the Beaverkill River at Junction Pool. This event is sponsored by the Roscoe Chamber of Commerce and will be covered by local news media. The Catskill Fly Fishing Museum, for their own First Cast Ceremony, is introducing a ‘Kids Only’ event later in the morning starting at 9:30 am upstream from the Museum Center on the Willowemoc Creek. All youngsters under the age of 16 are invited to participate. This new event is dedicated to families interested in our sport. Youngsters are encouraged to wear boots or waders and fly fishing gear. The Museum will be having activities throughout the day everyone will be sure to enjoy including kids activities and free outdoor casting lessons.
