Catskill Kayak Fishing Jamboree

The Roscoe Campsite Park will be hosting the 5th annual Catskill Kayak Fishing Jamboree on June 24th and 25th. The contest will be held on the Pepacton Reservoir.
Early Registration is advised for this exciting event. The registration fee for this event is $70.00; registration after June 1st, 2017 is $80.00. You must register to be included for prizes and dinner. Walk-ins will be accepted on the day of the event till 8 AM, but it is first come first serve on the highly coveted T-Shirts.
Participants are reminded that this is a FREE fishing weekend sponsored by New York State, NO NYS FISHING LICENSE IS REQUIRED for Saturday or Sunday. Each registrant will be required to obtain a NYCDEC Access Permit. This permit is available, free of charge, at the NYSDEC website.
CONTEST RULES
Registrants can choose from either the BASS or TROUT category. All fish must be measured for length and weight at RCP. Photos of fish caught and released will be accepted with clear, unaltered pictures of fish with the proper date stamped on the photo. There will be a different winner in each category. The decision of the judges will be final.
Launch points shall be at RAYNOR BROOK, MILLER HOLLOW and SHAVERTON BRIDGE. Fishing will begin at 5:00 AM on Saturday and continue until dark. Sunday fishing will begin at 5:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM. Entered fish must be returned to RCP for measurement before 3:00 PM. Any questions during the event can be submitted to Frank Healy, S16, (Healy’s Haven,) at RCP. A tally board will be posted starting Saturday.
As part of your registration fee, the Roscoe Campsite Park has graciously offered free tent site camping for Friday and Saturday nights. You will also receive one of our Logo T-shirts (sizes M-XXXL), kayak wash (kayaks must be washed before entry to reservoir) and entry to the Awards Dinner Sunday afternoon. The Awards Dinner will begin on or around 3:00 PM on Sunday and all prizes will be awarded and a donation to the Catskill Mountain Keeper will be presented.
